WHITEBOX 1:24 SCALE DIECAST MODEL
A detailed model in 1:24 scale by Whitebox of the 1980 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus in Red and Silver
The Sunbeam Lotus was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in April 1979, but the road-going version of the rally car was not ready for deliveries to the public until after the re-branding, and thus became the "Talbot Sunbeam Lotus". The car saw not only enthusiastic press reviews, but also much success in the World Rally Championship - in 1980, Henry Toivonen won the 29th Lombard RAC Rally in one, and, in 1981, the Sunbeam Lotus brought the entire manufacturer's championship to Talbot.
We believe only one red car was produced and that was driven by Des O'Dell who ran the competition department at the time and famously prepared the Hillman Hunter that won the London to Sydney rally in 1968
New and sealed in its original packaging
An exquisite piece of motoring memorabilia
